With 14,570 employees, Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) is one of the largest employers in Mecklenburg County. CMS provides education and resources to some 116,853 students. Private Schools

Approximately 17,000 students from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade are enrolled in private (non-public) schools in Mecklenburg County.
